Overview

This privacy policy covers both the ImageCrush website (imagecrush.io) and the ImageCrush macOS application. Rocket 5 Studios Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. The short version: we collect almost nothing, and your images never leave your Mac.

The ImageCrush App

Image Processing

All image processing happens entirely on your Mac. Your images are never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party. The app runs inside Apple’s App Sandbox and does not have the ability to transmit your files.

Data Collection

ImageCrush does not collect any personal data, usage analytics, telemetry, or tracking information of any kind. There are no analytics frameworks, crash reporters, or tracking SDKs in the app.

License Validation

The only network request ImageCrush makes is to validate your license via Freemius, our licensing provider. This check occurs once every 24 hours when you’re connected to the internet, with a 7-day grace period for offline use. The information transmitted is limited to your license key and basic machine identifier. No personal data, usage data, or image data is included.

Software Updates

ImageCrush uses Sparkle, an open-source update framework, to check for new versions. This check transmits your current app version and macOS version to determine if an update is available. No personal data is collected during this process.

Analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track visitors across websites. All data is aggregated and anonymous. No individual visitor profiles are created. Vercel Analytics is compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes.

Server Logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are used for security and operational purposes and are not used for tracking or marketing.

Third Parties

We use the following third-party services:

• Freemius — License management and payment processing. When you purchase a license, Freemius handles the transaction. Their privacy policy applies to payment data. Visit freemius.com/privacy for details.
• Vercel — Website hosting and privacy-first analytics. Visit vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy for details.
• GitHub — Hosts the downloadable app binary. No data is collected when you download the app.

Children’s Privacy

ImageCrush is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
